We would like to thank our wonderful Mountain Brook Foundation, parents, and community for providing our teachers and students with the following technology resources.

OUR CAMPUS
Mountain Brook Junior High is a wireless campus.  Students and teachers are able to access network resources using various wireless devices. Students are given a unique network login and password which allows access to software programs, Internet, printers, and individual file storage.  A common drive is provided for collaborative projects, presentations, and classroom lesson resources.

COMPUTER LABS

Wireless Laptop Carts - we currently have 8 laptops carts.  Each cart contains atleast 25 laptops and a network printer. 

Hard-wired labs - we have 4 hard-wired computer labs.  Each lab contains 24 desktop computers, scanners, and network printers.

Teachers reserve computer labs using an online reservation calendar.  

TEACHER WEB PAGES

Teachers maintain classroom web pages and post announcements, assignments, handouts, and other information.

INTERWRITE PADS 
Our teachers have access to Interwrite pads. The Interwrite pad is a bluetooth device that allows teachers and students to move freely around the room.  The pad allows the user to open software programs and annotate on the screen.  Lessons may be recorded and saved to teacher web page for student review.

DOCUMENT CAMERAS 
All instructional classrooms have a SAMSUNG DX850 document camera.  Images from the document cameras are run through the computer and in turn displayed with the classroom projector. 

PROJECTORS
All curriculum area classrooms have ceiling mounted projectors.  Teachers are able to project images from their computers, document cameras, and dvd/vcr players.

CLICKERS

We currently share 13 sets, 32 devices in each, of eInstruction CPS devices (clickers). The CPS devices are used for review, group games, and quizes.
