The AR dates for the 2011-2012 school year are as follows:

• 1st Nine Weeks:  8/22/11 - 10/14/11
• 2nd Nine Weeks:  10/17/11 - 12/20/11
• 3rd Nine Weeks:  1/5/2011 - 3/9/12
• 4th Nine Weeks:  3/12/12 - 5/14/12

STEP 1 – Select a book
STEP 2 – Read the book
STEP 3 – Take the test

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.       Students will accumulate a certain number of points each nine week period to be determined by their teacher.  Points do not carry over and are zeroed out at the end of each grading period.

2.      Watching a movie does not count. You must read the book!

3.      Do not read abridged or adapted versions of a book. You should read the original edition. If you are in doubt about your copy of a book, bring it to the library and we will check it for you.

4.     Read the entire book!

5.      Take the AR test as soon as possible after finishing your book.

6.      The book on which you are taking a test must have been read during the current nine weeks. Do not take tests on books read during the summer or last year.

7.      Remember, do not wait until the end of the nine week period to try and take all of your tests.

8.      Tests may be taken before school as well as during the school day.
