Printers - set default

You need to reset your default printer.

  • Start/Printers and Faxes
  • right click your printer and Set As Default.

Print to the copiers - 1st choice for all Staff

Students - print to the lab printers (b\w and Lab color)

 

Outlook - Resources
  • You will need to set up your Outlook email client on your computer.

 

  • We have changes in faculty in several grade levels. So...you will need to re-do your distribution lists in Outlook.
  • Outlook Parent Distribution List--Ask all parents to email you from the email they want in your parent distribution list. You can right click on their email and add to your contacts. Then build your parent distribution list. Be sure to name it Parents1213 so you will know it is this year's group.   
Interwrite Pad - change default-save folder
  • You will need to set up your Interwrite gallery, default save folders, and connection.

e-Days

Plan with your grade level for the possibility of e-Days this year.  Do not be caught off guard.  We want to be ready if we need to roll this in place. 

Technology Policy
Do's and Don'ts 1.  Substitutes and Technology Equipment:
  • Avoid leaving instructions for a substitute that requires logging in to the network.
  • Place instructions for using any technology you are asking them to use, like show movie through projector or use document camera, in your substitute folder.
  • Have a designated student helper.
  • Have a designated team teacher helper.
  • Substitutes may use the sub login.(see Robin)
  • Teachers are never to give their log in or leave computer logged in as themselves for a substitute.

4.  Microphones and sound systems - use to amplify voice not as a loud speaker;  let students use the extra microphone on a regular bases.

5.  Clickers\Cameras - check out from Tech office

6.  Assign each student a computer seat or laptop - have that student use that device all year -faster speeds logging in.

It is password protected.  You have to be a member to see the wiki.  Make sure you can see it. 

 

Make sure you have verified your email address in wikispaces.

Things for you to make sure and do: 

1.  Set-up all of your computers with email, printers and browsers configured

2.Confirm your computer lab time or laptop cart times

3.  Get with a buddy to complete room checklist (turn in by Wednesday afternoon)

4.   Enroll homeroom students in keyboarding program for your grade level

5.  Clean out shared folders for your grade level

6.  Make name folder in M:\media\pictures\2012-2013 folder
