PLEASE NOTE THIS CHANGE FOR THE UPCOMING SECOND GRADERS!!!!

If you have a student who will be an upcoming second grader please note the following change for their lunch this year.

All kindergarten, first grade and second grade students will only be able to purchase a plate lunch beginning this school year.  They will not be able to purchase a-la-carte items at lunch.  This is a change from previous years as we previously allowed second grade students to purchase a-la-carte choices.  The CNP Advisory committee began meeting in January and this was one of the recommendations that they made to the superintendent.  All students are allowed a choice of their entrée for lunch and a choice of milk or juice.   Beginning with third grade, students will be able to select a-la-carte choices for lunch.  We feel that this will give your student a healthy lunch daily.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your cafeteria manager at your student’s school.    The staff of the child nutrition program look forward to serving your students this year.
