Grade Level Specific:
  • 2nd: iPad cart, mini cart, or laptop cart discussion.  iPad apps list and how to use in classroom with just one. Symbaloo.
  • 3rd: iPad cart, mini cart, or laptop cart discussion. Research tools, see research webpage from student resources webpage; Symbaloo as a way to organize online resource sites
  • K, 1st: Promethean learning moment. Activities and Templates folder/Adding Resource packs from promethean planet and importing from shared drive, making containers flipchart from district training: iPad app list and how to use in one iPad classroom. Symbaloo with 1st only.
  • 4th: New  wireless document camera discussion. Symbaloo. Interwrite learning moment: online search for already created Interwrite lessons for 4th grade curriculum--you can just open and use or modify and use. The document camera tool, where you can have image under document camear and use Interwrite to capture it right then and right on it--even save it to pdf and post to webpage for absent kids. Also the camera tool where you can snag a picture of anything on your computer. Consider taking pictures ahead of time and putting in flip chart and adding powerpoint, weblinks, graphics--anything you need for that lesson. The cool thing is that it is then ready for you to use for next year or to share with other teachers, etc. Don't forget Interwite as a great tool that will do most of the things that the new Promethean boards will do. Also showed link to this summer's 3 hour Interwrite workshops with modules that Chad covered.
  • 5th: Symbaloo --We will meet next week to create QR codes for your students' My World projects.
  • 6th: Google Sites--Discussed student logins to Google through Portal and resources there: Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentation, Forms and Googe Sites and the way students can use at home or school without use of pin drives or having to have a certain program at home--also the collaborative features of google docs in that students can invite other students to share documents and create collaboratively. Even the Google Sites--which is a web page can be for individual students or for a collaborative group project. (See handout from November DEAL 5th grade below.)
