1. The girls golf team finished second in the Musgrove County Club Golf Tournament Monday. Congrats!!
2. The girls soccer team won 10-0 last night against a young Shades Valley team. They are now 10-1 on the season and travel to Spain Park tonight to face the number 3 team in the state, weather permitting.
3. Today there will be a meeting at 3:30 in the high school band room for any student interested in becoming a member of the new marching band color guard. This meeting is intended to provide more details and to answer any questions.
4. The MBJH choirs will present their Spring Showcase tonight at 7:00pm. It will feature music from the tv show “Glee”. During the show, the choirs will be selling handmade bracelets to benefit the victims of the Haiti and Chilean earthquakes. Admission to the show is free.
5. The boys soccer team host Pell City tonight in a section match-up. The JV plays at 5:30 and the varsity plays at 7:30pm.

1. Congrats to the varsity girls soccer team, they beat Clay Chalkville Monday night 6-0. They are now 9-1 on the season and ranked 4th in the state.
2. The MBJH choirs will present their Spring Showcase tomorrow night at 7:00pm. It will feature music from the tv show “Glee”. During the show, the choirs will be selling handmade bracelets to benefit the victims of the Haiti and Chilean earthquakes. Admission to the show is free. Please come and support our choirs.

4. Congrats to the concert band for earning a straight superior rating with distinction at the Ala. Bandmasters Association Music Performance Assessment Tuesday. The band received a superior rating from each judge and also received straight “A”s in all captions thereby earning a superior rating “with distinction”. The band was only one of two bands all day to receive this honor.

1. The classroom senators will have their picture made for the yearbook at 9:00am tomorrow morning in the amphitheatre. All senators should report there immediately after 1st period.
2. The math team should meet at the flagpole at 7:45 to get their picture made for the yearbook.
3. The boys’ tennis team had two big wins over Berry and Liberty Park last week winning both matches 9-0. Congrats! The girls’ team lost to league leading Berry and Liberty Park last week, but showed continued improvement. The boys’ and girls’ tennis teams each swept Thompson yesterday. The boys’ team is now 5-0 for the season while the girls’ team is 3-2.
4. The softball team had a GREAT weekend. They finished 2nd in the Mtn. Brook Tournament. They beat Oak Mtn. and Bragg Friday night. They beat Homewood, Bumpus, Curry, Helena and Hueytown Saturday, but lost to Thompson in the finals.
