Hint#1: Students need unique ID numbers in your school. Let's say your school has five 5th grade teachers. Student X will be in all of 5 of your classes. So, you, as the teacher need an identifier first, so you could assign each 5th grade teacher a number like 51, 52, 53, 54, 55. Then each student in the class would be identified by 01 for period 1 and 01 for clicker1. So if you are teacher 51, your number 1 student, in your first period would be 510101, Number 2 student would be 510102, etc. So your students in 2nd period would be 510201, 510202, 510203. If you have questions about this numbering scheme, you may want to discuss it with your technology coordinator at your school. Perhaps your school has a different plan. Some type of numbering scheme should prevent conflict in numbering with another teacher.
Hint #2: If you have your class set up in CPS, you can import your class into Exam View so you don't have to type them in again. If you have your class set up in ExamView you can export them out of ExamView to a CPS database and then import the CPS databse into your CPS class list.
