Instructions:
Extreme Makeover- Traci Blazosky's slideshow
Glog On! - Jan McGee's slideshow
Getting Started - Quick handout I made for the teachers at my school to get started with Glogster.
Glogster Set Up for Students PDF--Really good instructional handout for students. It does tell the students how to change their profile picture and password, so if you want your student users to remain generic, you may not want to use these instructions or just instruct students not to do that part.
Instructions on Glogster - Detailed step by step instructons by Kathe Santillo from registering to actually editing the text in the Glog. Advice for giving accounts to students, etc.
Adding Animoto to Glogster - Inserting Animoto movie clips to your Glogster
Adding Voki, VoicThread, etc to Glogster - Using a free download to record anytihng playing on your computer screen and save it to an .avi format that will upload to Glogster.
Really good how to movie clip on Glogster for students--Show this to your students.
Where do you get the sound and image files to upload to your glog:
1. Sound File--using Audacity. Click here for Audacity help.
2. Image and Movie File using the Sony Cybershot Digital Camera. Click here for help with getting clips/movies from the digiatl camera to the computer to use in Glogster (or other programs).
I reccommend using the Sony Cybershot purchased by your school. You can also use the FUJI class digital cameras provided by the Fun Run. This is important as some digital cameras save the video clips in Quicktime--which MovieMaker will not import. If you want to use a different digital still camera, just take a few practice video clips and make sure you can pull them to your computer and into MovieMaker. Big Hint #1--have students DELETE movie clip mess-ups imediately from the camera and re-shoot the footage. When they are finished filming, the students will only have the video clips they want to use in their project on the camera. Have students shoot small segments of video at a time so there are small video clips on the camera. Hint #2--have students take one digital still picture on the camera--even if they only want movie clips. This will make the copy to folder OR scanner and camera wizard appear when they plug in the camera. If there is not a still picture on the camera, the wizard will not appear.
