¡Bienvenidos!

This year begins Ms. Wood's thirteeth year at Mountain Brook High School and her sixteenth year in teaching.

A 1992 graduate of Mountain Brook Schools, Heather Wood earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Birmingham-Southern College.  She completed her Master of Arts in Spanish and Applied Linguistics at the University of Alabama in 1998, and achieved National Board Certification in November of 2008.  In August of 2011, she earned her Master of Education in Instructional Leadership at the University of Montevallo.

Ms. Wood is looking forward to the year ahead.  She feels lucky to work in a true community of learners, where faculty, staff, and students are challenged to grow each and every day.
