The jazz program in Mountain Brook has grown and prospered over the last 4 years. Jazz ensembles from the Jr. High and High School have performed in New York City, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. earning superior ratings and best in class awards on a consistent basis. These groups perform locally for community events and school functions as well. All jazz ensembles are directed by Dr. Mark Foster.
• Join us for the third annual JAZZ IN THE PARK (ing lot) in April. We will perform at the (as yet to be) newly completed amphitheater before school one morning. The student literary magazine "Olio" will be distributed at the performance. Coffee provided by O'Henry's. TBA
• Jazz ensemble will meet during 5th period next school year along with lunch. Any 8th and 9th grade BAND student is eligible to join.
