MBJH will be continuing a longstanding tradition by holding its annual magazine sale fundraiser. Each new subscription purchased or existing subscription renewed earns money for our school. State budget cuts have eliminated classroom supply money for our teachers. This year’s magazine sale proceeds have been earmarked to help replace these funds.

New this year is a charitable giving option. With the charity option, each tax deductible $25 donation credits your student with one subscription purchase (which like regular subscription sales or renewals, makes your student eligible for weekly prizes!). Each charitable subscription will help provide magazines for all of our school system’s libraries. Plus, we will provide children’s magazines for underprivileged children in Alabama (such as children in group homes and children of inmates).

Each Friday during the Magazine Sale, students who have sold at least two magazine subscriptions or renewals, are eligible for weekly prizes. Prizes are also awarded for selling six subscriptions online and for reaching the super-quota of 10 subscriptions (whether online, charity, or paper order forms, or any combination of the three).

 

You can also place your orders using the order forms included in the Magazine Sale Catalogs, which were distributed to students today. Please turn in your paper order forms during 1^st period on “Turn In” Tuesdays, September 7, 14, and 21. Please send just one check, per student, per week. Checks should be made payable to MBJH PTO. And please be sure to fill out the forms completely, legibly, and accurately.
