MBHS strives to provide the latest technologies for the use of all students. All MBHS students are expected to adhere to the Technology Usage Policy. Each student signs a Usage Policy Parent-Student Form before being provided with a network account. Students should read the policy annually to make sure that they understand the policy. For example, it is considered a violation for any student  to try to circumvent a filter on the Internet.

Technology Misuse and Abuse:

Per the Mountain Brook City Schools Code of Student Conduct, any student misusing technology in any way could face serious consequences. Computer misuse is a Class III violation and the sanctions for such a violation include but are not limited to the following: 1) out-of-school suspension, 2) transfer, 3) assignment to the alternative school, 4) referral to an outside agency, including the criminal justice system, 5) expulsion, 6) restitution of property and damages where appropriate, and 7) any sanction(s) included in class I and II and other sanction(s) as approved by the Board of Education. (See page 12 of the Mountain Brook Schools Code of Student Conduct).
