Thomas George Luckie (Tommy), is a graduate of Mountain Brook High School and Auburn University, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business (Marketing) and an MBA at Samford University.  He is currently President and CEO of Luckie & Co., one of the southeast’s largest marketing/communications firms.  Tom served as general manager of Luckie/Atlanta and ran that office until the merger with Tucker Wayne in 1988 in which he worked as Account Supervisor for Tucker/Wayne/Luckie, the 7th largest independent agency in the country.  In 1993, he returned to Luckie’s home office in Birmingham. 

 

Tommy has been active in a number of organizations.  While in Atlanta, he won the President’s award presented by the Boy’s Club of Metro Atlanta.  He has been active with the American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes, and he a graduate of Leadership Birmingham (1997).  He was Co-Chairman of the Auburn University College of Business “It begins at Auburn” campaign.  Tommy was Co-Chair of the Mountain Brook City Schools Foundation, “Aim Higher” campaign in 2004.  In 2006, he was President of the Birmingham Country Club and was Captain of the Monday Morning Quarter Back Club in 2008.  He was President of the Mountain Brook City Schools Foundation in 2009 and 2010. Currently, Tommy is on the Crippled Children’s Foundation Board, as well as the Board of the Bell Center, The Club, and Mountain Brook Sports Corporation and a member of the Rotary Club of Birmingham.

 

He and his wife, Cathy, who was PTO President of the Mountain Brook Junior High School, have three children in the Mountain Brook school system.
