Meet Mrs. Kirk
I am so excited about serving as the literacy coach for Cherokee Bend. I have a passion for improving teaching and learning and I love that I am able to grow and learn next to the teachers and students each day. My hope is to share my passion for literacy with all!
This is my eleventh year at Cherokee Bend and my 20th year in education. I have taught kindergarten, third and fifth grade in a self-contained and a departmentalized setting. I earned an Educational Specialist degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012 and recertified my National Board Certification in 2020.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Adam. We enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, scuba diving, and playing tennis. I also love to read and complete word and number puzzles.
