    Online Fingerprint, Substitute, and Certificate Payments 

    OPTION A:

    1. Go to the  Alabama Department of Education website
    2. Move cursor to LINKS on left side of screen and select SECTIONS 
    3. Scroll down and select Online fingerprint, substitute, and certificate payments
    4. Select CONTINUE
    5. Select OK (if Security Alert appears)
    6. Complete required fields and select SUBMIT.  (Do not select certificate unless you are applying for a Teacher Certificate.  Substitutes should select license and fingerprints only.)
    7. PRINT RECEIPT – ALSDE MUST HAVE A PRINTED RECEIPT BEFORE PROCESSING FINGERPRINTS.

    OPTION B:

    1. Go to Internet Explorer
    2. Enter Alabama Department of Education Teacher Certification On-line Payment Center
    3. Select OK (if Security Alert appears)
    4. Complete required field and select SUBMIT.  Please also see information in #6 above.
    5. PRINT RECEIPT – ALSDE MUST HAVE A PRINTED RECEIPT BEFORE PROCESSING FINGERPRINTS.
    • Payments can be made using VISA and Master Card, credit or debit.
    • Please note that there is a $4.00 convenience fee that will be charged for each payment submission. 
    • Multiple purchases can be made with one submission and one $4.00 convenience fee will be charged.
