    Blackboard App FAQ

    1. Why do you need my cell number? Text messages use cell numbers only.  We want parents to have the option of receiving text for emergency notifications such as school closings.
    2. Can I receive messages through the app if I do not enter my cell number? You can receive emails and phone calls through the new communications app but cannot receive text.  However, if you stay logged into the app on your mobile device, you can receive what is called “push notifications.”  They look like texts but are messages that pop up on your phone but are not texts.  You must be logged in to get pushed notification.
