This is Sarah Black’s fifth year at Crestline Elementary and her eleventh year teaching overall. She grew up in Cullman, AL and then moved to North Carolina where she attended East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 2012 and is a Highly Qualified Teacher.  Prior to Crestline, Mrs. Black taught first grade in Charlotte, North Carolina for six years.  

When she isn't planning for the school week ahead, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and rescue dogs at Smith Lake.  She also enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and painting.

Mrs. Black is committed to challenging children academically and creating a nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning and self-exploration.
