Mrs. McMahon is so excited to start her sixth year at Mountain Brook Elementary! She feels so fortunate to be a part of a community that values education so highly. Mrs. McMahon has two years of experience teaching Kindergarten, three years of teaching 1st grade, and is excited for the changes to come with 4th grade! Mrs. McMahon believes in establishing an engaging learning environment and promoting intellectual curiosity for all learners.

Mrs. McMahon has called Birmingham home her entire life. She is originally from Homewood, Alabama and graduated from Homewood High School. She then graduated Summa Cum Laude from Birmingham-Southern College where she earned degrees in both Elementary Education and Special Education. This December, she is finishing her Master's in Instructional Leadership with a focus in character education from Samford University. 

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. McMahon enjoys running, calligraphy, painting, and spending time with her loved ones. On any given Saturday, you can find her hiking with her puppy, Blue!
