Mrs. Nidia Fernandez-Lee

Nidia Fernandez-Lee has taught math and computer science for 20 years.  This year at MBJH, she will teach Innovators and Makers and App Creators (Project Lead the Way) and Computer Science Discoveries (code.org).  All the classes focus on problem solving using computers.

Mrs. Fernandez-Lee has lived in the Mountain Brook area for 5 years with her husband, three children, dog, cat, and bearded dragon. She is originally from Huntsville, Alabama where she went to Grissom High School.  She graduated in 1995 and 1997 from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a BS in Psychology and MA in Mathematics Education, respectively. She does not have many hobbies because she is really busy having fun with her family, like bowling, kayaking, cooking and karaoke!
