My name is Hannah Kennedy and I am thrilled to be teaching Special Education this year at Cherokee Bend! I graduated from The University of Alabama in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and Early Childhood Education. Roll Tide! In 2014, I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education. While in school, I had the privilege of completing an internship at the Rise Program in Tuscaloosa and also worked as a teaching assistant at Mitchell's Place for one year. Since completing my Master's degree, I have taught Special Education for five years at Westside Elementary School in my hometown of Demopolis, Alabama. My husband and I recently moved to Birmingham and we are so excited to begin this new journey! When I'm not at school, I enjoy running, reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and loving on our two precious puppies! I'm looking forward to an amazing year at CBS!
