As a language arts teacher, Mrs Underwood enjoys introducing her students to literature and advanced writing skills that instill a love of language and build a strong foundation for written communications throughout junior high, high school, and beyond. She believes strongly in the joy of learning and is always finding unique ways for students to engage in creative, and fun, learning opportunities.

Mrs. Underwood previously served Cherokee Bend as their Literacy Coach and taught at Cornerstone Schools of Alabama, and in the Gwinnett County School System in Atlanta.
