Welcome to second grade! Anna Parker is thrilled to be joining the Brookwood Forest family. She grew up in Birmingham, AL where she completed her K-12 journey in the Oak Mountain school system. She then attended UAB, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. This will be her second year teaching second grade, but her first year at Brookwood Forest Elementary. She is so excited to be a Ranger and learn alongside her students! Be sure to check out the slideshow below to learn a little bit more about Ms. Parker’s favorites and hobbies.  

Ms. Parker is continuously refining and reflecting on her philosophy of education. She sincerely believes in teaching the whole child and that students deserve to learn in a safe environment where their academic and social/emotional needs are met. She believes that every child deserves a champion and an advocate. Her goal is to provide a safe and accepting learning environment where she can authentically learn alongside her students.
