Cherokee Bend Community Helpers

  • Wednesday, November 9, 2022 – Cherokee Bend kindergarten students have been learning about community helpers recently. Today, they had the opportunity to put their knowledge on display.

In the morning, students participated in ‘careers on wheels’ as local community helpers came to display their lines of work. The Mountain Brook Police, Fire, and Public Works department employees, as well as other local groups, came to show students their motorcycles, cars, trucks, buses, and equipment providing students with a hands-on learning experience.

In the afternoon, students lined the school hallway and participated in a live museum presenting the work that various community helpers do on a daily basis.

A big thank you to all of our Mountain Brook community helpers for volunteering their time!
