Mountain Brook Schools faculty and staff gathered together to celebrate the beginning of the new school year in the MBHS Fine Arts Center on Tuesday, August 1.

Wednesday, August 2, 2023 -- All of the Mountain Brook Schools faculty and staff members gathered together for the annual Institute Day event on Tuesday morning at Mountain Brook High School. The Top Gun-themed program lasted two hours and featured skits where MBS employees reenacted Top Gun scenes, last year's award winners delivered speeches and received recognition, and the audience heard a message from MBS Superintendent Dr. Dicky Barlow.

MBS was pleased to welcome many special guests to the program including past and present Board of Education members, City Council members, members from the Mountain Brook City Schools Foundation, All In Mountain Brook, Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce, Senator Dan Roberts, Representative David Faulkner, Mayor Stewart Welch and City Manager Sam Gaston.
