25 MBHS Students Named a National Merit Semifinalist


  • Friday, September 22, 2023 – A total of 25 students from Mountain Brook High School have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation for their outstanding academic achievements and named a ‘2024 National Merit Semifinalist.’

    The National Merit Scholarship Corporation is a program that recognizes academically talented high school students in the nation. 1.5 million high school students around the country enter the program every year by taking the PSAT or the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Only 16,000 students with the highest PSAT/NMSQT scores are accepted as Semifinalists for the program. There were 270 high school students in the state of Alabama who received this distinction and Mountain Brook High School's 25 students make up a staggering 9.6% of students statewide.

    The following students have a qualifying PSAT/NMSQT score and are being considered as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists.
