Mountain Brook Schools Safety Reminders

  • As we near the midpoint of the spring semester, Mountain Brook Schools would like to remind our parents and community of the safety protocols and procedures in place throughout the school district. As always, if you see something, say something. Our administrators on each campus, along with our award-winning School Resource Officer team, have been trained to assist with concerns that may arise. Our goal is to ensure that our campuses are a safe place for our students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis. Please feel free to reach out to one of them with questions or concerns.

We are fortunate to have such a supportive community of parents and guardians who want to ensure the well-being of our students and faculty members. Please remember when you visit a school, you must be checked in with the front office staff at the entry of each school. For large events taking place on the campuses during school hours, schools will be using the Circool program to send invitations and tickets for events. This program will send you an invitation prior to the event and you will RSVP to receive your digital ticket. To check in when you arrive, please make sure to have a copy of your digital ticket available. If you have not registered your account with Circool, please check your invitation email to sign up. It is critically important that all parents register with the Circool program in the event you need to reconnect with your child at an offsite location.

Additionally, Mountain Brook Schools recently partnered with the City of Mountain Brook and ALL IN Mountain Brook to establish a 24/7 community crisis line where students or anyone in the community can call, text or chat by contacting 205-92-SAVES (205-927-2837). The link to the crisis line webchat feature is available on the Mountain Brook Schools website, ALL IN Mountain Brook, Mountain Brook City and Chamber of Commerce websites.

Mountain Brook Schools is constantly reevaluating our safety plan and procedures in an effort to ensure the security of our students and staff. Each one of our instructional spaces are receiving updated locking mechanisms and the district has taken additional steps to secure the exterior areas of our buildings.

As a reminder, in the event of any occurrence or sudden emergency, all official communication will come directly from Mountain Brook Schools.

We are grateful for the continued support of our parents and community. Safety is a responsibility shared by every member of our community and we are grateful for the partnerships that help ensure that students, faculty, and staff are safe on our campuses while they are engaged in learning.
