    Full statement from Mays:

"As I frequently share with the MBE community, I have loved every job I have ever had, but the last two years as assistant principal at MBE have been my favorite.  Working for Mountain Brook Schools has been a dream come true and it has been a privilege to be mentored by a veteran principal like Ashley who has invested years in placing MBE on a trajectory of excellence.  I would like to thank Dr. Barlow and the Board, as well as the interview committee, for providing such a rigorous, thought-provoking process and for placing their trust in me as the next principal to lead MBE into a future of continued excellence and new opportunities. In every position I’ve held, it’s been of paramount importance to me that every member of the school community feel seen and known and that they know they belong to something bigger than themselves.  As we look to the future, I feel blessed to work for a district and school that I love and trust, in a building full of educators I admire and students that I adore.  The students and families of MBE are special and I look forward to 'leading from the heart' as a Lancer for years to come!"
