Sonya Jordan, a native of Ashville, Alabama, is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. In 2000, she earned a Master of Library Media Technology degree from Georgia State University. Mrs. Jordan is a member of the Alabama School Library Association and the Alabama Library Association where she is an active participant in the Young Adult Services Round Table of the Youth and School Services Library Division.  Additionally, she is one of the sponsors of the MBHS READ Book Club and serves as an ACCESS Distance Learning Facilitator. Prior to coming to Mountain Book High School, she spent time as librarian at both Hoover High School and Heritage High School (Conyers, Georgia). Her favorite part of being a librarian is reading, recommending, and discussing books with students.
