• Classroom Guidance

    Peanuts Worry
Each class receives a minimum of 16 units of classroom guidance with the school counselor.  The primary purpose of guidance is introduce students to the skills, attitudes, and knowledge they will need to be safe, be respectful, and be their best this year and for years to come.  School counselors focus on three domains - academic, personal/social, and career development.

For the 2021-2022 school year, the counselor will continue to see students by homeroom weekly for a 9-weeks period based on BWF's calendar.  Typically, the counselor sees students in 2nd, 3rd, Kindergarten and 5th Grades during their Specials block once per week in the 1st and 3rd 9-week grading periods.  The counselor typically sees students in 1st, 4th, and 6th grades once per week during their Specials block in the 2nd and 4th 9-weeks period.  This year, students in 1st Grade will visit Counseling for five days at a time based on the current Specials rotation to allow for the 5th unit within the grade.
