Hi, I am the School Nurse for Mountain Brook High School, or as the kids call me I'm Nurse Barbie!

 

I've worked in Critical Care, Open Heart, Neuro and the Emergency Department. I have thoroughly enjoyed this last stop in my nursing career with School nursing .  

I live in Vestavia Hills. I have beautiful family, married to Steve, we have 3 boys, two are married, and I have two beautiful granddaughters. I was born and raised in Michigan and I am true Spartan, a Michigan State fan, in fact I have been a Spartan all my life, my high school were Spartans!

 

Away from school I love to travel, garden, cook and bake. I enjoy exercising and when I can, I try to get in a game of golf. Lately my focus has been on wellness. I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge with the kids and or their parents about the current events in health and wellness, and occasionally you will hear me on the morning news talking about "eating your colors".
