ANNUAL OPERATING BUDGET
The Board of Education shall provide for the preparation and adoption of the annual budget for the school district. The Board delegates the responsibility for preparation of the budget to the superintendent of schools and appropriate members of his staff. The budget shall be prepared on forms and in accordance with rules and regulations prescribed by the State Board of Education. The budget shall be presented to the Board at the Board’s regular September meeting date for review and approval.
The locally approved budget shall be transmitted to the State Superintendent of Education on or before October 1 for review and approval.
The budget shall not become official until it has been approved by the Mountain Brook Board of Education and the State Superintendent of Education.
