Where do you see your athletic future? MIGHT want to go to college and throw javelin, but it solely depends on how much I improve this year.

Favorite Subject: Favorite subject in school is Math, only because I can understand it easier than all other subjects.

Academic Highlights: Coleman has a 3.65 weighted GPA and a 33 composite on the ACT with a 34 superscore.  He is a member of the Spanish Honor Society.

Athletic Highlights: Coleman participates in the long jump, 100 and 200 meter dash and relays.  He is a recipient of the Coach Eatman award.

Where do you see your academic future?  I plan to attend college and study engineering and someday go to medical school.

Where do you see your athletic future?  I plan not to run track in college but compete.  I do plan to compete in intramurals.

Favorite Subject: Physics. I enjoy the math aspect and the labs.

Academic Highlights: Annie has a 4.2 GPA.  She is also a member of Circle of Friends Club, FBLA, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and National Spanish Honor Society.

Athletic Highlights: Annie plays right side hitter in volleyball and she plays one doubles and two singles in tennis.  She has won state in tennis all years of high school, also personally won doubles in 9th grade, and singles and doubles in 11th grade.  She also played in the north south all star tennis match last year.

Where do you see your academic future?  I don't know what college I want to go to yet.

Where do you see your athletic future?  I might play intramurals or club sports for fun depending on where I go.

Favorite Subject: History because I think its interesting to learn about our country's past and Psych because it's very interesting to begin to learn how people's minds work, etc.

Academic Highlights: 12th grade-Physics Club!! I love Mrs. Van Beek!! 10th and 11th grade I was a part of the ASL Club with Mr. Ferguson.  

Athletic Highlights: State Cross Country Team (9th-11th grade), Coach Baxter Award (11th grade)

Where do you see your academic future? I would love to go to Auburn University and then eventually go to graduate school to become a physical therapist!!  I will want to major in exercise science or kinesiology or something along those lines!

Where do you see your athletic future? As much fun as running would be at the collegiate level, I have made the decision to stop after my senior year.  I would still like to be involved in club sports in college, and I will just run for fun!

Favorite Subject: History!!!  Shout out to my favorite teachers: Chief and Dr. Lamar!!  I love learning about the past, especially about U.S. history.  It is so cool to me to learn what others did centuries ago and how it compares to what is going on now.  All of the little details like the battles during wars and treaties signed and how people acted, it is just so fascinating to me.

What music do you listen to most?  Some of my favorite songs at the moment are Stella Brown by: Jelani Aryeh (so good!), Straight and Narrow by: Sam Barber (another great one), and Sleep on the Floor by: The Lumineers (oh man this one too!).  I like the Lumineers and Need to Breathe for groups, but I switch around a lot. :)

Other information you want us to know: I have loved being on the cross country and track team for all these years.  It has truly been my other family, and the coaches are just amazing.  Coach Gov, Coach Marino (M-dawg), and Coach Baxter have truly changed my life through running, and I can't imagine my life without this sport.  Coach Porter, although a coach no more, has also impacted my life greatly.  The friends I have made on this team will hopefully carry me through the rest of my life because they are just incredible.  I am excited for what senior year is going to bring!!!

Academic Highlights: Frederic has a 4.5 GPA and a 34 on the ACT.  He is a member of Spartan 2 News, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, the chess club, the physics club, and is a senator for SGA.  Frederic was voted Homecoming King in 2023.

Athletic Highlights: Captain of the Varsity Bowling Team, MBHS Most Valuable Bowler, AHSAA Honorable Mention for 6A Bowling.

Where do you see your academic future? After I graduate from high school, I plan on majoring in Media and Journalism or Film Production.  During my time in college, I hope to study abroad.

Where do you see your athletic future? Bowling is a great way to socialize and have fun!  While I don't know what college I'll attend, I hope to be part of the bowling community wherever I go.

Favorite Subject: My favorite subject in school is Chemistry!  Not only are Mrs. Aust and Mr. Rosenstiel great teachers, but I can always "Gibb them a Holla on the H-FON".  Chemistry is challenging, but rewarding.

What music do you listen to most? I love a wide variety of music.  Ranging from Warren G's "This DJ" to Pitbull's "Time of our Lives", I listen to many genres.

Other information you want us to know: Being a part of Spartan 2 News for the last three years, I've had the opportunity to meet countless people in our community and school.  I've come to realize that everyone plays a role in making Mountain Brook High School special.  No matter what college I attend, I will carry the Spartan Spirit with me!

Academic Highlights: Mimi has a 4.086 GPA.  She is an Ambassador for MBHS (11th & 12th) and is a member and Vice President of the Future Business Leaders of America.  She is also a member of the Circle of Friends Club, the Interact Service Club, the National Honor Society, the National Spanish Honor Society and First Priority.  She is a coach for cheerleading privates, Mountain Brook and Vestaiva little league cheerleading and a Miss Olympian Pageant staff member.  Mimi was crownded Homecoming Queen for 2023.

Athletic Highlights: Mimi was awarded best all around cheerleader (10th and 11th grade), best attitude for cheer (11th grade), and UCA all American cheerleader (12th grade) and Captain Junior Varsity basketball cheer (10th grade).

Where do you see your academic future? After I graduate Mountain Brook, I hope to major in Aerospace Engineering!  I have a love for all things STEM and plan to pursue a career along that path.  If time permits, I plan to minor in gender studies as well.

Where do you see your athletic future? Cheerleading is such a rewarding sport that is centered around community and excellence.  If I am accepted, I would love to cheer for Duke University.  Duke's cheerleading team is not only focused on their skills and cheers, they take extensive initiative to serve the community around them and uphold the mission of the school as ambassadors.  If I do not attend Duke, I will most likely not cheer in college.

Favorite Subject: My favorite subject in school is math because I love learning about the implications of it in further studies and in the real world!  Also, the math department at MBHS and its faculty members are phenomenal!

What music do you listen to most? I love many genres of music.  Some of my favorite artists include Billie Eilish, Zach Bryant, Tyler Childers, Rhianna, PTX, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Phoebe Bridgers.

Other information you want us to know:  As a Mountain Brook student, I strive to engage in my community as much as possible.  While searching for a new city and college to call home, I hope to find a community which is filled with opportunity and involvement from its members.  No matter where I land, green & gold will always hold a special place in my heart!

Where do you see your academic future? I'm undecided on where I want to attend college but I want to stay on the East Coast.  I would like to major in Business or Pre Law.

Sport(s): I run cross country and track, and have ran on varsity for both since my freshman year.  Eighth grade I got pulled up for cross country state champs.

Academic Highlights: GPA 4.36, ACT 30.  Clubs--Physics Club, Chess Club.

Athletic Highlights: I run the 400, 800m, and 1600m in track and hold the school record in the 800m and 4x800m relay.  I won state in the 800m.  I'm all-state and I'm a 3-time All American.
