Mrs. Amy Hartley - Special Education

Welcome to my webpage!  Please feel free to contact me regarding any questions or concerns you may have.  I love teaching at Mountain Brook Junior High, and I am looking forward to an exciting year with your children.  Currently, I am co-teaching Biology, World History, and Algebra I.   This will be my 26th year in education.  I have worked as a Special Education teacher in Birmingham City, Jefferson County,  and Hoover City Schools as well as  a School Psychometrist in Chilton County and Tarrant City Schools.
I am originally from Gainesville, Florida; however, I moved to Alabama after graduating from the University of Florida.  I have a Masters of Special Education and certification in School Psychometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham as well as a Masters in School Administration.   I have been married to my  husband, Brian, for 26 years and we have three boys: Will, Hunter, and Henry.  In my free time, I enjoy walking, reading, yoga, traveling, and spending time with my family.
