Mountain Brook High School Theater

  • Welcome to Mountain Brook High School Theater!

COVID-19 has caused all sorts of crazy issues for us but we have adapted to our new circumstances.  To maintain the safest environment possible, we have opted to create recorded instead of live performances this year. We have been hard at work creating podcasts, filming book readings, and much more! Here's a sampling of what we have been doing.

    • Nefarious Narrations was our podcast debut with twelve spooky works for Halloween. Enjoy listening to our Devious Dozen for 2020!
    • It's hard not seeing faces, so our students have decided to film Holiday Book Readings to give encouragement to our elementary students by letting them see a face.
    • We have been utilizing game theory to exercise improvisation skills and character development through roll play games and hope to bring you recorded performances of our Table Top Theater soon!
    • Spring promises to be even busier. Our students have been hard at work
      • creating scripts for more podcasts to record
      • developing a thrilling short film called Double Vision (filming to begin January)
      • working on creating an outdoor production of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
      • developing a production with our choir department for special spring performance
      • and preparing for the virtual Alabama State Thespian festival
