Ms. Amanda (Mandy) Cramer
Ms. Cramer began her teaching career in the Hoover City School System where she taught third grade for several years. She loves spending her days at Brookwood Forest with her energetic and inquisitive second graders!
A two-time graduate of The University of Alabama, Ms. Cramer earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and M.A. in Collaborative Special Education. She continued her education, earning an Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership as well as a Post-Master's Certificate in Instructional Leadership. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education at UAB. Her passion for teaching and learning drives her to continually seek out ways to provide an innovative education with the central goal of empowering young learners.
Recently, Ms. Cramer earned certifications as a Google Certified Educator - Level 2, Common Sense Media Educator, and an AMSTI Digital Literacy and Computer Science trainer. In addition to teaching and learning at BWF, she serves as an adjunct instructor for the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Ms. Cramer is a lover of all things sports! If you walk in #TeamCramer, you will notice this immediately! She grew up playing basketball and her spare time was spent at the ballpark watching her two big brothers play the sports they love! She even got to cheer them on into college as they played college athletics (Go Samford Bulldogs and Roll Tide). Outside of school, Ms. Cramer enjoys traveling, shopping, decorating, learning, eating new places with friends, working out at Burn Boot Camp, and spending time with her family. She frequently visits her two brothers and their families in Atlanta, Georgia and Portland, Oregon.
