Mrs. Katherine Erickson
Katherine Erickson is a native of Mountain Brook, Alabama and is an alumna of Mountain Brook High School. Mrs. Erickson attended the University of Montevallo where she received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2007. Mrs. Erickson began her teaching career in the Santa Monica- Malibu School District in Los Angeles and received her Masters degree in Collaborative Special Education from Antioch University in 2015. After moving back to Birmingham, Mrs. Erickson began teaching at Spring Valley School in Birmingham and continued her teaching career as a collaborative Special Education in the Hoover CIty School System as well as the Vestavia Hills School system. Mrs. Erickson has a passion for reading and has been trained and certified in Orton-Gillingham methodology for students with dyslexia. Mrs. Erickson is excited to re-join the MBHS family. Mrs. Erickson will be serving special education students in the life skills classroom. This will be Mrs. Erickson’s 6th year of teaching.
