¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español!  

Ms. Centeno is originally from Chicago and is going into her 20th year of teaching.  She is passionate about learning other languages and cultures, and loves teaching Spanish. I strongly believe that learning Spanish is not just about the language itself, it is a vehicle to connect with people and provides more opportunities for personal and professional growth.  Being bilingual has given her many opportunities in different facets of her life. She is excited to share her love of the language and culture with students! She truly believes that exposure to other cultures, other beliefs, and other ways of life are an important piece of a person's development, especially now, when we are truly becoming global citizens.   

She looks forward to getting to know you better, getting you started on your world language journey, or helping you improve your Spanish skills. She has high expectations for you, for herself, and for all the great experiences shared as a class.  It will be a year of challenges, but it will all be worth it in the end.
