CES 5th grade students attend Alpine

The fifth grade students from Crestline Elementary attended Camp Alpine in Mentone, AL April 15th-19th.  The one week at Alpine is one of the best experiences at Crestline.  The students learn about growth mindset and have an outdoor experience that allows for growth socially, emotionally, and physically.  One of the best parts is getting to see all the stars at night, huge waterfall and beautiful trees and flowers.

While the students are at Alpine their days are filled from 7 in the morning until 9 at night. They first begin with a scavenger hunt to learn where everything is located.  Afterwards they are divided into groups and throughout the week they go on a 6 mile hike learning about forest ecology, ropes course, history day where students go back in time attending a Master School, ecology and water quality of Little River, outdoor games and several other activities to help develop their Growth Mindset.

It was a wonderful week and very thankful for all the teachers and parents that helped make this such a wonderful experience for our children!
