The Mountain Brook Board of Education congratulated Barbara "Bebe" Holloway on her selection as a 2020 National Honorable Mention of the Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC).  The National Center for Women and Information Technology officially announced the national recipients list in January, 2020.

Each year, U.S. high school female students in grades 9 through 12 are eligible to receive recognition for their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing, as demonstrated by their computing experience, computing-related activities, leadership experience, tenacity in the face of barriers to access, and plans for post-secondary education. This year, 40 winners and 360 honorable mentions were selected from more than 4,700 amazing, talented young applicants.

Superintendent Barlow expressed his pride in Bebe and stated he, "looks forward to hearing the great things you'll do in the future."
