Cross Country boys’ and girls’ place 2nd at 6A state championship

This past Saturday, Nov. 14, the Mountain Brook High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed at the Alabama state meet. Both teams placed second, falling short of the 6A state title. However, their performance exceeded expectations as they were predicted to only  place ninth.

The boys’ team finished with 73 points and the girls’ team with 64 points. Additionally, Elizabeth Robertson placed first in the state running a 18:43:15 in the 3 mile race.

Now that the cross country season has reached its end, many runners will continue to train as members of the MBHS indoor and outdoor track teams during their off season.
