Mountain Brook Schools held its annual Retirement Tea on Tuesday afternoon at the Board of Education where it honored 28 retirees. These individuals have amassed 781 years of service in education with 501 of those years spent at Mountain Brook Schools.

Seven of these 28 individuals have served their entire education career at Mountain Brook Schools exclusively.

“I want to express my gratitude for each one of these amazing people,” Superintendent Dr. Dicky Barlow told those in attendance. “This is always a bittersweet time but we’re so thankful for the influence all 28 of our retirees have had on our students and school community. Their impact has and will continue to benefit generations of students, colleagues and community members throughout Mountain Brook.”
