Inside Mountain Brook

If you’re a parent or community member who has interest, we’re offering a new opportunity to get to know our school system in deeper and more meaningful ways.  It’s called Inside Mountain Brook, and it’s a free program designed for community engagement.  

Inside Mountain Brook Logistics

• Any member of the Mountain Brook community may apply to IMB.  Parents, grandparents, community members, or anyone interested in knowing how the school system works may apply by accessing the Inside Mountain Brook application.
   
• Applications are open through Friday, August 21.  There are a limited number of spaces, and participants will be notified the week of August 24.
   
• Participants in the cohort will attend one session per month (first Wednesday) from 8:30am-10:30am in various locations throughout the school district.  The schedule for 2026-2027 is:
  • Sept. 9 – Overview, Meet-n-Greet, School System Purpose and Beliefs
  • October 7 – Safety and Student Services
  • November 4 – Curriculum and Instruction
  • January 13 – Finance and Personnel
  • February 3 – Facilities, CNP, Technology, and Communications
  • March 3 – School Visits I
  • April 7 – School Visits II
