July Board Meeting Report

Wednesday, July 16, 2025 – The Mountain Brook Schools Board of Education met Monday, July 14 at Mountain Brook Board of Education for the district’s monthly board meeting. Below is a rundown of the meeting:
Board Members present: Jenifer Kimbrough, Anna Comer and Anne Schilleci.
Board Meeting Agenda
The meeting opened with a moment of silence for Sarah Marsh followed by approving minutes from the last board meeting.
Reports to the Board:
- MBS Chief School Financial Officer, Kari Austin, presented board members with the district’s monthly financial statements, which were unanimously approved.
- MBS Facilities Director, Tommy Prewitt, presented board members with a facilities update on summer construction projects.

- The board unanimously approved the latest personnel recommendations and unanimously approved miscellaneous items as surplus so that they can be discarded/donated/sold.
