MBS Announces 2025-2026 Teachers of the Year

Mountain Brook Schools is excited to recognize its six teachers of the year. There is one representative from each school in the district. These six teachers submit paperwork, video and lessons. Ultimately, one teacher is selected to represent the elementary school teachers and one represents the secondary for the district. Those two individuals go on to have their name placed in the ring among teachers from districts state-wide to compete for the title of Alabama’s Teacher of the Year.
Congratulations to each of our six Mountain Brook Schools teachers of the year!
Brookwood Forest Elementary: Tara Smith (Kindergarten)
Cherokee Bend Elementary: Beth Dean (4th Grade)
Crestline Elementary: Johnna Noles (Kindergarten)

In the coming weeks, we will have full interviews available as Dr. Barlow visits with each Teacher of the Year and viewers will have the opportunity to learn more about our winners, their experiences in education, and who they are as individuals. Stay tuned!
