Mountain Brook High School Named One of the 100 Best High Schools Teaching Personal Finance

April 20, 2026 — Mountain Brook High School has been named to the 2026 "100 Best W!se High Schools Teaching Personal Finance," a national ranking released April 13 by Working in Support of Education (W!se), a New York-based educational nonprofit.
Now in its 14th year, the "100 Best" ranking is the first and only national recognition of its kind, honoring excellence in personal finance education among schools participating in W!se's Financial Literacy Certification program.
Rankings are based primarily on average scores on the W!se Financial Literacy Certification Test, with consideration given to the proportion of test takers relative to the school population. Students who pass the exam earn the Certified Financially Literate™ (CFL) credential, a nationally recognized distinction.
Mountain Brook High School's inclusion reflects the teacher’s commitment to preparing students not only for academic success, but for real-world financial independence. The recognition places Mountain Brook among an elite group of schools across 49 states dedicated to equipping the next generation with essential money management skills.
