MBHS Graduation

Friday May 22, 2026 – A total of 329 Mountain Brook High School students crossed the stage on Thursday evening at Samford’s Pete Hanna Center marking the end of their K-12 journey as a student in Mountain Brook Schools. The ceremony, which lasted just over an hour, featured speeches from students Jeb Blair, Sophie Hicks and Bethany Yin.
Assistant Principals Eric Hollis and Lars Porter read each graduate’s name and now these students are ready for their next step in life after nearly 6.5 million combined hours of education within Mountain Brook Schools.
The top college choices among graduates are:
Auburn University (94)
The University of Alabama (76)
University of Mississippi (25)
Mississippi State University (11)
Samford University (10)
Various U.S. Service Academies (6)
Texas Christian University (6)
The class, as a whole, will attend 63 colleges in 24 different states. Percentage wise, 64% are staying in state while 32% will attend colleges out of state.
