Tuesday, December 16, 2025 – The Mountain Brook Schools Board of Education met Monday, December 15 at Mountain Brook Elementary for the district’s monthly board meeting. Below is a rundown of the meeting:

Board Members present:  Jenifer Kimbrough, Jeffrey Brewer, Daniel Odrezin and Anne Schilleci.

The meeting opened by approving minutes from the last board meeting.

Recognitions:

Reports to the Board:

• Financial Statements were presented to the board from Chief School Financial Officer, Kari Austin.

Old Business

• Art Course of Study was unanimously approved.

New Business

• The board unanimously approved the latest personnel recommendations and various items as surplus to be discarded properly.
• The following items were tabled for community review and input:
  • AP Business / Personal Finance Course Curriculum Framework
  • MBHS Media Arts Course of Study

 

• The following items were unanimously approved:
  • Policy D-14 - Time and Effort
  • Policy - I -12 - Non Traditional Learning - Dual Enrollment
